What happens after the program?
The transition home is always challenging. To help, we offer a variety of services. We have found the aftercare program to be an integral key to the long-term success of youth. The needs of every family are different, so we work to provide a variety of additional opportunities including therapy and mentoring services.
Individual therapy for youth and parent are provided by the Program Therapist who has been working with your family in the entirety of the program. The Program Therapist also provides family therapy to nurture change and development within your family. We will work with all the professionals involved with the family to help the transition home or to the youth’s next placement be successful.
For area families, we connect the youth with a mentor who is committed to meeting with the teen on a weekly basis for six to nine months following the program. Youth and mentors meet for weekly activities such as volunteering, hiking or playing basketball.
