A graduate student from the University of Montana recently completed an outcome study on the families we have worked with since 2005. Here is a summary of the results. Click here to see the Outcome Report.

Outcome Summary

  •  At discharge 85% of parents reported a significantly improved relationship with their teen. At admissions almost every parent had reported a rapidly deteriorating relationship.
  • At admission 84% of our participants were evaluated as at risk for an out of home placement, one year later 75% had successfully kept their home placement
  • At admission 72% had dropped out or were failing in school; today 57% are passing and in school or have graduated. Of those who dropped out, almost half (so far) have received their GED.
  • One year after discharge, 66% of our participants had improved their GPA, 28% had no change, and 5% got worse grades.
  • At admissions, 76% had previous criminal histories (including misdemeanors). 52% were on formal probation. Since discharge, 75% of parents report an overall reduction in illegal acts.
