About Our Services
Shelter Care - Shirley M. Miller Attention Home
Program Description
Created in 1976, the Attention Home offers an alternative to detention
or the streets for adolescents who have committed minor offensives,
face a short-term family crisis, are struggling with addiction or
have had their placement break down. Teens receive caring, individual
treatment while attending school or doing work. Highly trained staff
stabilizes the young person, provides daily attention and guidance,
assists with case planning and prepares each child for family reunification,
if appropriate, or other placement if necessary.
